The Saddest Landscape has successfully crafted a sound that encompasses the rawest of hardcore to the more melodic side of the early DC sound. Imagine Blast! merging with Soulside or Rites of Spring. "Lift Your Burdens High for this is Where We Cross" honors their contemporaries, but draws a distinct influence from some of the true the architects of modern hardcore and dare I say, emo. Playing this disc at times is almost like going back fifteen years right down to the recording. |
